Our 55 cubic foot refurbished steel cylinder Gas Bottle, complete with new valve, fresh paint and current hydro-test. The rating on this tank is a DOT 3AA 1800, which means it has a working pressure of 1800 psi and can take a 10% overfill. The tanks have a new CGA-580 valve which will allow you to fill the cylinder with Argon/CO2 mixes or nitrogen. These gases are commonly used for MIG and TIG welding.
The Gas Bottles have a current test date of 02/09, and are good till February 2019. These bottles represent a great value. Perfect for MIG welders. If you have your flowmeter set to 20 CFH, these bottles will give you 2 hours and 45 minutes of welding time. The bottles measure approximately 29" from the base to the top of the valve, and are 7" in diameter and weigh approximately 30 lbs.
We strongly recommend that you check with your local gas distributor to make sure they will fill the bottle. Gas Distributors many times won't fill bottles you own or didn't come from them. Let them know you have a 55 cu ft cylinder, that is rated 3AA 1800, and is valved CGA-580 for Argon or Argon/CO2 mixtures and they can let you know if they will fill it or not.
The bottles are shipped empty. If you are local in the Chicago area, you can pick the bottle up at from our Arlington Heights facility and save the shipping. If you would like the bottle filled with a 75% Argon/25% CO2, we can do it for you on the spot for $18.50 or 100% Argon for $27.00. And if you have another small cylinder that you already own and want filled we can do that too.
