The RSG250-MIL14, 25' Spool Gun is designed for Miller Welders that have a 14 pin spool gun plug. This spool gun is set up to plug right into a Miller Trailblazer and XMT welders which have the14 pin plug for the spool gun, a CV setting, and a contactor. The RSG-250-MIL14 has a duty cycle of 60% @ 250 amps. The wire feed rate is adjustable from 50 to 650 inches/minute. It will handle .023, .030, .035, and .045" diameter wires. It will feed Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel and Flux Cored wires. And the RSG-250-MIL14 is made in the USA.
The wire feed rate is easily adjusted without going back to the welder, since we put the wire feed adjustment right in the bottom of the handle. We use a special notched tip for welding aluminum - the tip transfers the welding current to the wire better since there is a slight bend in the notch, forcing the wire to contact the tip. The notch also makes it much easier to remove a burnback if the wire burns back to the tip.
Connection is simple!
1) Plug the 14 pin plug supplied with your RGS-250-MIL14 into the 14 pin recepticle on the front of your welder.
3) Connect the gas hose to your regulator.
4) Connect the power cable to correct lug on your welder.
5) Plug the control box (included) into one of the 110 V outlets on the welder and you are ready to weld!
This spool gun is the perfect solution when you need some extra distance between you and the welding machine. This state-of-the-art 25' long gun is ideally suited for applications ranging from farm machinery and semi-trailer repair to construction site jobs or any other application where the power source can't be brought to the work. This advanced gun is also an excellent solution for welding aluminum. The distance from the drive rollers to the contact tip is only 8”, so feeding problems and birdês nesting are virtually eliminated.
The RSG250 includes a control box that will need 110 volt, Solenoid valve located in the box.
