The Striker CFB is an extremely affordable, sharp looking addition to our Striker line-up of auto darkening helmets. The Striker CFB boasts a 1 3/4" x 3 3/4" viewing area or a full 6 1/2", square inches, which allows you to easily see what you are working on, and it darkens in the same super fast time - adjusting from light to dark in 1/25,000th of a second.
This extremely light weight helmet, weighing in at only 19 oz, has a beautiful carbon-fiber like high gloss look, and has both the shade adjustment and light sensitivity knobs externally mounted - enabling you to easily adjust your helmet while you work. The light state of the helmet is a shade 4, and the dark state can be adjusted from shade 9 to shade 13.The shade adjustment, an important feature that allows you to set the helmet shade lighter when welding thin material in order to see better when the arc is not so bright, and you can set the helmet darker when welding heavier material. The sensitivity adjustment – another important feature, takes into account the ambient lighting and the arc brightness. You don’t want to walk outside in the bright sun light and have the helmet go dark on you?Or, you don’t want to try to TIG weld and have the helmet not darken, do you? That is why the sensitivity adjustment is so important.
The Striker CFB is suitable for both MIG and TIG welding and also has a plasma cutting feature. Plasma cutting does not throw off much of an arc, however UV and IR protection is still required. With the Striker CFB, you have the ability to lock the lens in the light state, shade 4, which still offers full UV and IR protection and lets you see what you are cutting.
The Striker CFB has four sensors that draw it's power from the welding arc, and includes two replaceable CR2450 lithium batteries which gives you 800-1000 hours of welding time. This helmet also features a cushioned, fully adjustable, headband for comfort and offers you the ability to adjust how far away the lens is from your face. This is a great full feature welding helmet at an affordable price backed with a 2 year warranty.

Striker CFB Welding Helmet

MORE INFORMATION: CFB Carbon Fiber uses 2 CR2450 lithium batteries which are included with the helmet, and they give you 800 to 1000 hours of welding time. What do you do with helmets which that do not have replaceable batteries when the batteries go dead? You have to throw them away! And all "solar" helmets have batteries to power them until the arc is started. Also, this helmet has 4 sensors, so you can be sure this helmet will always "see" the arc. And we have improved the low end sensitivity, so this helmet will sense a low amperage DC tig arc - the hardest arc to sense. You may see helmets which appear similar to the Striker CFB, but they are not the same helmet. They do not have replaceable batteries, the controls are not the same (look closely at controls on the cartridge, our electronics are different!), and they do not have 4 sensors. Also, the Striker CFB will accept a standard magnifier if you purchase our magnifier adapter for $4.50.
Note our ANSI Approval! Other sellers make the claim, but where is the proof! You know this helmet has been put through safety tests! Do you really want to trust your eyes to a $20 to $60 helmet "claiming" to be ANSI approved? This is a great, full featured welding helmet at an affordable price backed with a 2 year warranty by a company that has been in the welding business for 28 years. (we don't sell cotton candy machines or headlights - we are a welding specialist!) The price includes free shipping and insurance in the lower 48 states!! This helmet is suitable for MIG welding, Tig welding (I have personally tested this using our Invertig 201 welding steel – a low amperage DC arc the hardest arc to sense), Stick welding , and it even has a plasma cutting setting! I can’t tell you how many students show up to our TIG welding school with inexpensive auto darkening helmets that can not sense a DC Tig arc!! A DC tig arc is very hard to sense, and there are always a couple of guys that show up to our tig school with an inexpensive helmet and their helmets do not darken because their helmets won't sense a DC arc, or they flicker between the light and dark state, "flashing" them. This is an extremely light weight helmet, weighing in at only 19 ounces. It has a beautiful carbon fiber look high gloss finish. The viewing area is 3 ¾” x 1 ¾” or a full 6 ½ square inches. And it is fast, it goes from light to dark in 1/25,000 of a sec!
The light state is shade 4, and the dark state is adjustable from a shade 9 to a shade 13 by a slim exterior mounted knob on the outside of the helmet. The shade adjustment an important feature, allowing you to set the helmet lighter when welding thin material to see better when the arc is not so bright and you can set the helmet darker when welding heavier material.
The HTP Striker CF Carbon Fiber look helmet also features the same externally mounted, slim design knob to adjust the sensitivity – this is another very important feature. The sensitivity takes into account the ambient lighting and the arc brightness. You don’t want to walk outside in the bright sun light and have the helmet go dark do you? You don’t want to try to tig weld and have the helmet not darken, do you? That is why there is a sensitivity adjustment.
And of course there is the plasma cutting feature. A plasma cutter does not throw off much of an arc, but still requires UV and IR protection. This helmet allows you to lock it in the light state (shade 4) which still offers UV and IR protection to a shade 13, but lets you see what you are cutting. This also works good for torch cutting with an oxy-acetlyene torch, while giving you full face protection.
It has a great fully adjustable ratcheting headgear with a very comfortable sweat band. (We have replacement sweatbands available in our store) You have to push the knob in to tighten or loosen the headgear, it locks into place so it will not slip. It also allows you to position the helmet further away from, or closer to your face, a feature not even found on helmets costing 5 times the price.
The Striker CFB helmet also has an adjustable opening delay – how long the helmet takes to from the light state to the dark state. This is important if you are welding heavy material and don’t want to have the helmet go back to light too quickly and you would be looking at a bright molten puddle of metal. We also have inner and outer cover plates available in our store for $1.75 ea. They will also ship for free (no additional shipping charge) when purchased with this helmet. If would you like additional cover plates, click on either of the links below and order the number you want. Remember, do not pay for any items until we send you an invoice with combined shipping.
